THE GIVE A SHIT CAMPAIGN

As Election Day 2018 nears, a group of concerned citizens has come together to launch a voting campaign aimed at young South Florida voters. Delray Beach-based Thrive has partnered with creative agency 2TON and Subculture Restaurant and Nightclub Group to launch the bluntly named “Give A Shit Campaign,” which kicks off this weekend.

The Campaign is focused on motivating South Florida residents—and young people in particular—to get informed, get engaged and go vote. Sara Selznick, Ph.D., Founder and Managing Director of Thrive, explains that the campaign aims to remind young people of their power. “It’s not too late. Young people can be a political force,” says Dr. Selznick. “We want them to feel a sense of urgency, understand what's at stake, fight for the changes they want to see, and shape their own future this election cycle." Millennials are not showing up at the polls; the “Give A Shit Campaign” challenges them to get out to vote and vote early.

In addition to promoting the election, the “Give A Shit” Campaign is hosting a $10,000 cash raffle at the group’s Election Watch Party.
